Meet Baby Everett! We went for our first sonogram and got to see our little precious bundle of joy up close and personal. We didn't quiet know what to expect and were rather nervous, but as soon as we saw him all our fears turned to excitement. Just look how beautiful! And Carley's face....made it all the better. We are 12 weeks and 5 days and got a perfect report. We even got to hear the heartbeat and it was beating healthy at a rate of 163! I loved looking at him. I could have layed there all day holding Carley's hand watching him. As the nurse was examing Baby Everett she asked when our due date was. I replied "Septemeber 10". She simply said "huh". Huh? What's Huh? I worried for a moment. She followed by asking how we had arrived at that date. I went on to tell her that we were one of the lucky ones that conceived via IVF so there wasn't much room for error. She once again simply said "hum". Now I was definately worried so I asked her if there was anything was wrong. She said that we were measuring 1-2 weeks further along than we were. Now that I knew there wasn't something wrong and I could relax, my next thought was "Great, he's going to big like his daddy"! I asked her if we might be able to tell if it's a boy or a girl since we were measuring further along than we were. She took a look and said that if she had to guess she would say it was a boy. A BOY!!! She made sure to tell us that it was just a guess and she could be wrong, but Carley didn't care. As far as he was concerned he was having a boy, a son. As a matter of fact, he was so sure he'd put money on it! Not that he's a betting man!!! The doctor wouldn't confirm it, but he did say that whatever it was it had big feet! Once again my thoughts turned to "Great, big feet like his daddy to kick me with"! In reality, neither one of us really care if it's a boy or a girl as long as it's healthy. We couldn't be happier and more in love with Baby Everett than we are right now!-Carley & Paige
